How can a designer find a job and earn more?

A good designer is first and foremost a member of a team of people doing a specific job. However, among free artists there are many talents that would be useful for solving certain problems. If a designer is looking for a job on the OLX site, it would be nice for him to know what a potential employer expects from him.

Which designer will definitely be hired for the team?

Of course, everyone wants to see a person on their team who has similar views on life. And not only for life. And all because such a person will not demand lengthy explanations. This is the difficulty of finding a person who could not only draw a beautiful layout, but would do it, as if using the collective wisdom of the entire team.

And yet, without a number of qualities, even the most advanced designer will find it difficult to find work. Here they are:

A designer must be independent. This is important, since he will have to figure out some incomprehensible script or some complicated logistics scheme himself. Preferably yourself.
Professional curiosity. This is probably what we can call quality when a designer knows all the intricacies of a project, even those that have little to do with his work. When a designer is interested in knowing everything and even more about the company he is going to work for. Such a specialist will not let the client go until he extracts all the demands from him, no worse than an experienced KGB agent
Attitude towards people. Those designers who often change places of work, as a rule, have little interest in the client’s problems. It is more important for them to promote or impose their own idea than to understand the true purpose of the product, which solves certain problems of the future user.
Business and communication. The next point follows from the previous point. If a designer has little understanding of the client’s problems, he will not be able to offer him a clear solution based on the interests of the team. That is, offer him another scheme according to which the user can solve a pressing issue. And another scheme is another front of work for the company. In the same vein, we can consider the issue of communication skills. If a designer has a promising idea, why not share it at least with colleagues, presenting it in a bright, accessible and beneficial way for the company.

Of course, a properly formatted resume, a well-written and rich portfolio can say a lot about a specialist before applying (or not applying) for a job. Still, it never hurts to take the above points into account.
