The fourth Moscow festival-marathon of unusual theaters "Staircase. Family format"

On September 9, 2018, in Moscow, the traditional “Staircase”, which the Army Theater has been organizing for the fourth year in a row, will become a great family music festival. It will take place on the square and stairs in front of the theater. “Staircase” is a wonderful way to spend a day off in the open air with interesting people and talented artists.

The festival “Ladder” has been held in Moscow since 2015 with great success. Each year, he gathers more than 5 thousand spectators, and the number of people who want to launch balloons in the sky with wishes reaches one and a half thousand.

Every year, the Staircase Festival has its own theme: it was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Army Theater building, was held under the motto “Dreaming is not harmful,” was dedicated to children. In 2018, they decided to arrange a holiday in the family format, where there is a place for parents, children, grandparents. Come with your whole family to look at talented young artists, listen to young musicians and launch balloons into the sky with us.

The organizers have prepared a rich program, which will begin at 12 noon and end at 18 pm. At the play-master class “Theater on the rug” from the Theater of Taste and the Street Theater HERE, viewers will become authors and characters, create a play on the street, using minimal space. The home theater will show the children’s interactive play Legend of the Knight, a medieval representation of knights, dragons, and beautiful ladies. The “Elephant Concert” from the SNARK theater directed by Yuri Alesin is accompanied by a live orchestra and tells stories about elephants. The multimedia play-adaptation “The Happiest Octopus” from the original mobile theater “The Small Theater of Ruslan Wolfson” combines storytelling and animation. Club “Brother Rabbit’s Nora” will show the show “Journey to Wonderland”, where unusual things become mural, moss, rope, paper.

In addition, viewers will see the “Fly-Tsokotuha” of the Army Theater’s Children’s Studio, a show by drummers from the Boarding School of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the music program of the Young Alexandrovtsy School-Studio of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A. Alexandrova, and the festival will end with an excerpt from the musical performance “The Unusual Escape of Toys” by Andrei Badulin based on the tale of Gianni Rodari and the launch of wish balls in the “Dream Family Circle”.

The hosts of the festival are Timur Eremeev and Alena Falaleeva. At the celebration, everyone will be able to participate in games, master classes, quizzes, win tickets to the performances of the Army Theater, relax on soft “bean bag” poufs and have a bite to eat.
