The Children’s Center of the Museum of Moscow presents a program for the 2018/2019 academic year

In the space of the Children’s Center of the Museum of Moscow, people from 3 to 16 years old get acquainted with Moscow, plunge into the world of history, art and architecture, play, communicate, work on projects, create, discover themselves, create films, performances, and also celebrate birthdays and holidays.

In the new season, special attention is paid to classes for school classes and organized children’s groups, which will make learning more informative and motivating.

Museum lessons will introduce children to the history of Moscow through various types of activities - working at the exposition, games and creative assignments (for example, creating a copy of an exhibit that you like).

The lesson “Postal Stories” will tell you about the ways of communication in ancient Moscow, in a fascinating way it will help to cope with one of the difficult moments of the initial stage of study - learning to write.

The “Game Time” program is dedicated to the lifestyle and traditional games of our ancestors.

In the lesson “Museum of the Future”, children will become museum experts: get acquainted with the structure and history of the Moscow Museum, its collection, and exhibitions.

The intellectual game Museum Investigation is a journey with many puzzles through the exhibition History of Moscow for Children and Adults.

In the classes of the Fairy-Tale Moscow series (5-7 years old), children will learn answers to various questions about the life of ancient Muscovites, and in the workshops they will make an old sword, bow with arrows, jewelry, a Book of Fairy Tales and much more.

The Moscow Stories series is intended for children 7-12 years old. In an interactive form, participants will get acquainted with the history of Moscow from the Stone Age to the end of the XVII century, learn about the life of residents, crafts, rulers and hear medieval music.

art

The course "From Calligraphy to Handwriting" (8-11 years) is a new course of the Children’s Center of the Museum of Moscow and the Calligraphy Studio "I write beautifully", devoted to the formation and harmonization of handwriting.

The cycle of classes “Moscow, I sculpt you!” (7-14 years) will invite participants to dazzle the city, its inhabitants, literally feel and recreate history.

"ArtVision" (6-16 years) - a course on the history of world art from cave painting to contemporary art. Each lesson of the course is a story about a direction or event in art, plus creative reflection of the topic with the development of artistic techniques and techniques.

The art club “Free drawing, or I came up with, I painted” is a place where children will draw a lot, what they want, sometimes using non-standard materials. This is important for the search and preservation of individual style, the development of self-esteem, brain training and the pleasure of drawing.

Dance and acting

In the Wheel Dance Laboratory, children 6-10 years old, under the direction of Polina Rozhanskaya, will study contemporary dance, which includes a variety of areas and techniques, improvise and experiment to reveal personal expressiveness.

Classes in the Expressive Readings course will help develop emotional intelligence, speech and body skills, and acting skills.

Cinema and design

SHUM Design School for Children (7-14 years old) - Graphic Design Course for children. Each lesson is a new topic and a new task in the format of micro-lectures and practical exercises: participants will be engaged in modeling packaging, developing modular fonts and infographics, booklet brochure, animation, experimental costume.

Students of the Kinoproekt 8 Film School (9-13 years old) will learn what professions there are in the cinema, how to set up a shooting schedule, work with a professional camera and sound, and make their own movie or video.

Also in the Museum of Moscow this season will open a club for teenagers "Meeting Place" (designed for age 12+). Participants will explore the city, watch and discuss films, stage performances, meet interesting people, listen to music, play board games and drink tea.

Throughout the year, Sundays at the Museum of Moscow will become theatrical - independent Moscow theaters will show their best performances.

For the autumn, spring and summer holidays, the Children’s Center of the Museum of Moscow will traditionally prepare a workshop “Children in the city?” During which children will study Moscow and city life, using a variety of forms of activity as tools. There are also programs for all occasions, for example, the beginning or end of the school year or for any other holiday, for kindergarten, elementary and high school. And the birthday celebration in the museum will be a fascinating and informative adventure for children of all ages.
