DMITRY YAKOVIN. 20 years in microrealism

March 10 at 19:00 in the creative cluster "ARTMUZA" will be a grand opening of the exhibition of the famous St. Petersburg artist Dmitry Yakovin. The bright and unusual style of Jacobin is attributed to the conceptual trends of "fantastic realism", developed by the great artist Ernest Fuchs. Everything is perfect in the picturesque space of Yakovin: the form, the compositional and coloristic decisions, the content, and the texture itself. His special, one-of-a-kind performing technique is masterful, like the old masters of the European school of painting and drawing.

Dmitry Yakovin gives rise to "his reality", there is a kind of merger of fiction and reality. He not only presents the life of fairy-tale heroes, invented by himself, but also indicates the specific surrounding reality. This is the creation of individual myth-making. His paintings are an amazing world of “otherworldly” fantasies, the world is still complex and deeply felt. In this world, small, puppet heroes live: princesses, elves, gnomes, angels, alchemists, bookworms, barbers, babettes, winged animals. At the behest of the Master himself, they turn the universe into micro-reality. Here everything is arranged in the image and likeness of the Great World, that is, Man. In his works, the artist uses his favorite colors: red, blue, green, blue and gold. These colors: bright, open and festive, are presented here by chance. The author’s invented technique, the “golden” attrition of the background, gives his paintings a noble cobweb of antiquity. This complements the "costume" design of his characters. He immerses them in different time periods. All his work is literally saturated with microrealism - the New Art. Bright, cheerful, sometimes sad, but always filled with a true human feeling.
