Photo exhibition "Life without end and beginning ..."

April 19 at 16.00 in the Estate V.P. Sukachev will host the opening of a personal photo exhibition of Galina Varfolomeeva (Kaplyukova) based on her book “Life without End and Beginning…”.

From photographs by local historian Galina Varfolomeeva, one can trace the history of Russian life in the 19th and early 20th centuries, see familiar objects: a gramophone, modern telephone sets, camping utensils, and little-known ones - a retractable chair, a washing machine from the beginning of the 20th century, etc.

The author has been studying household items for many years and has written several books on this subject. Her new book, which gave the name to the exhibition in the Estate of V.P. Sukachev, reveals one of the most interesting periods in Russian history and contains about a thousand rare author’s photographs. The most interesting of them entered the exhibition.

The exhibition will be supplemented by household items from the museum. Among them are travel boxes, a barometer, cutlery and much more.

The exposition will run until May 7. The opening of the exhibition will take place on April 19 at 16.00 in the Estate of V.P. Sukachev (112 December Events Street), admission is free. During the opening, it will be possible to meet and chat with the author. Inquiries by phone: 53-12-24.
