The subject of Catherine’s artistic interest is children - sincere, touching, changeable, complex. In his works, the photographer seeks to convey the transience of life, emphasized by the slow majesty of nature. Moments of elusive childhood are captured in warm summer evenings, winter twilight ringing from the frost, fine autumn days.

Her photographs seem to return to the carefree past, give the viewer the opportunity to remember themselves as they will never be. The plots of the photographs are imbued with the pacification of nature, and the main characters are children who really live in their own fairy-tale world, where it is difficult to draw the line between fantasy and reality.

Ekaterina pays great attention to the organization of the filming process, most of the costumes are sewn specifically for a photo shoot in her own studio.

Ekaterina Knyazkina was born in Bratsk, Irkutsk Region, lives and works in St. Petersburg. Has been engaged in photography since 2015. Graduated from the Baikal Academy of Photography. Participated in group exhibitions.

The main motto of Ekaterina Knyazkina lies in the words of Ansel Adam: "There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs."
