Irina Dudina. HORSE AND NEIGHBORHOOD automatic translate

The exhibition is a series of Petersburg landscapes created by the author in oil paints on a furniture hardboard. It all started with the fact that several years ago, having found old oil paints from previous artists in her workshop, and finding sheets of hardboard in the garbage bin, Irina Dudina indulged in capturing the neighborhoods of Borovaya Street, on which her attic is located.
First of all, the author is attracted to everyday Petersburg. Snow-covered cars, thawed hatches, graffiti on the walls, battered walls of houses with numerous layers of paint, picturesquely rusty roofs, old poplars, factory outskirts. Particularly attracted by the aching feeling of accepting the ugly life of the much dilapidated and aged “new buildings”. For several years about a hundred works were written, which attracted the attention of friends and acquaintances of the author. So the idea was born to make an exhibition.
At the exhibition in Boreas, part of the works from this series will be presented.
Irina Dudina, an uncompromising fighter against injustice, an agitator and tribunes who, in their political mats, posters and articles, are not afraid to raise the most pressing issues of modern life, this exhibition unexpectedly opens with a new side of his work - like a subtle landscape painter. In her urban sketches, we see the seemingly familiar motifs of St. Petersburg backyards, painted and sung by a thousand times - houses, gateways, courtyards, firewalls, dark water of canals, wet gray snow... But behind all this, the living voice of the artist and poet clearly fills familiar landscapes triumph of life and partial love, characteristic of everything that makes Irina Dudina.
