Results of the exhibition "Albrecht Durer. Masterpieces of engraving"

The exhibition “Albrecht Durer. Engraving Masterpieces ”in the State Historical Museum was attended by 87388 people.

Muscovites and guests of the city for five months could get acquainted with the most valuable collection of works by the greatest master of the Renaissance from the collection of the Italian Pinakothek Tosio Martinengo in Brescia. Exhibitions of works by Albrecht Durer are held annually around the world. However, it was the Historical Museum, according to experts, that managed to show the recognized masterpieces so spectacularly and gracefully as no other museum.

This project was the beginning of a series of exchange exhibitions between the State Historical Museum and Italian museums: in the spring of 2022, masterpieces of Genoa’s museum collections will be presented in Moscow.

On the eve of the 150th anniversary, in November 2021, the Historical Museum will present a congratulatory exhibition from the Russian Museum: the picturesque masterpieces of Dmitry Levitsky will first come to Moscow from St. Petersburg.
