Concert "Journey of the Russian avant-garde"

October 1 - on the International Day of Music - in the main building of the Irkutsk Art Museum (Lenin St., 5) a concert "Journey of the Russian avant-garde" of the Moscow ensemble of modern music will be held. The legendary collective will give the first and only concert in Irkutsk as part of the All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons. The program includes the music of the most outstanding avant-garde composers: Sergei Prokofiev, Alfred Schnittke, Arthur Lurie, Edison Denisov, Dmitry Shostakovich and others.

The Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music (IASM) is one of the most interesting and sought-after musical groups in Russia. Having united the leading virtuoso soloists, for almost 30 years the ensemble toured in 80 Russian cities and 28 countries of the world, performed at the best concert stages, took part in major international festivals, including France, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, China and so on. The concert program is based on the ideas of a significant and important period of world culture of the early twentieth century - the “Russian musical avant-garde”, presented by him

the brightest composers. This short historical period determined further vectors of the development of art, cultural and social consequences, which make it possible to re-evaluate the era of the Russian musical avant-garde. The program presents various creative interpretations of innovative works written in different periods of the last century. The Russian musical avant-garde is presented in unique transcriptions for a chamber ensemble (flute, clarinet, piano, violin, cello), created by IAMM soloist Oleg Tantsov.
