"DREAM" IS NOT HARMFUL. The Second Moscow Festival-Marathon of Unusual Theaters "Staircase"

On September 24, 2016, the Second Moscow Festival-Marathon of Unusual Theaters “Staircase” will be held on the square in front of the Theater of the Russian Army . The program includes non-stop street creative groups performing non-stop. Also, within the framework of the Festival, spectators will be able to take part in the flash mob “Circle of Dreams” - a giant round dance around the theater building.

Last year, the festival was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the legendary building of the Theater of the Russian Army. This year the main theme of the festival is “Dreaming,” and the name and venue, “Ladder,” symbolizes the upward movement and the desire to open new horizons.

“The Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defense holds the festival for the second year in a row. For us, this is a way to attract creative youth, to connect the past, present and future of theatrical art, because the ancestors of the classical theater are just street performances, ”said Anton Gubankov, head of the Culture Department of the Ministry of Defense.

The festival is attended by:

• street theater "Tall brothers" with the performance of "Fantasy";
• М Educational Theater of MUSC ’(Muravitsky’s course) with a choir performance and photo performance“ Birth and Death of Artificial Intelligence ”;
• Theater of the Russian Army with the presentation of the new Partizan space and a scene from the performance of the Dissident;
• “Theater of Taste” with the interactive performance “The History of the Little Dreamer”;
• theater "Fiery People";
• "LIQUID Theater" with the performance-performance "Flying Dutchman";
• Studio "Low-Tech" with the performance of "Second Sound."

The culmination of the event will be the “Circle of Dreams” - the creation of a giant round dance circle around the building of the Theater of the Russian Army. Spectators will not only be able to stand in a circle, but also experience vivid emotions by launching balloons into the sky.

“The main feature of our“ Stairs ”is that it allows you to bring together the most unusual groups and show the audience such performances that he will not see in an ordinary theater. The theme of the Festival is a dream - as a symbol of upward movement, as the beginning of new life stages, ”said Milena Avimskaya, producer of the Staircase Festival.
