For the fifth year in a row, the Moscow Planet contest has been held in Moscow. This year, each of the 280 participants in the competition chose for himself one of three topics - “The Neighborhood of Nature and the City”, “Five-story Buildings. From the past to the future ”and“ The Day of Moscow Transport ”.

The first of the photo projects is designed to inspire Muscovites to small ecological trips. Green oases and nooks where the inhabitants of the metropolis can enjoy the silence of nature fell into the lens of the contest participants.

Some photographers chose the theme “Five-story building. From the past to the future ”and actually contributed to the documentary photography - they captured urban architecture on the threshold of great changes and the accompanying feeling of light excitement and expectation.

The project “Days of Moscow Transport” is a kaleidoscope of moments of urban life associated with such usual vehicles for every Muscovite as buses, trams, and metro trains. The works of photographers “revive” them: we notice the beauty of faithful assistants, thanks to whom we move around the city at any time of the day or night.

The citizens themselves entrusted to choose the best pictures. Participants in the Active Citizen project will determine what works will decorate the walls of the Moscow Museum and the Moscow City Hall.

The open competition of urban photography "Planet Moscow" is held for the fifth time. The competition was organized by the Moscow City Planning Policy Department with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture.

The purpose of the competition is to draw attention to the urban development activities of Moscow, to the unique urban historical and cultural sites, as well as the formation of a new look at the comfort of the urban environment, the reflection of current changes in the city through art photography.
