Natalya Pronina "Intuition of color"

The exhibition "Color Intuition" will feature about fifty works. One half of them are watercolors, the other half are paintings in oil and tempera. Most of the paintings have been created in the last few years, but the exhibition will also feature paintings from an earlier period.

Natalia Pronina’s paintings are intuitive painting, which is possible only at the limit of creative concentration. Its purpose is to slow down inner time to a frequency that allows one to perceive beauty, which in another, more dynamic state, remains invisible to the eyes. In Natalia Pronina’s paintings, these are streams of light - they penetrate the canvas, and we can observe its vibrations. Such a world does not reproduce external reality and does not reflect it; it exists by itself. Once in this space, you are as close as possible to the ideal image of your inner self. You find yourself in a symbolic superfluid reality that envelops you and imbues you with an extract of happiness.

In the artist’s paintings we see not a literal reading of the visual image of flowers, but an image of the metaphysical beauty that they contain. This beauty is mysterious and elusive. Its colors do not have clear outlines - they fill the entire space of the canvas without a trace, displacing all other objects of the material world. She praises the absolute harmony embodied in them and does it in an ideal way. She recreates the landscape of the inner garden, in which "there is no white and black, no contrasts, always twilight and the smell of flowers, a mixture of day and night." Her images do not express anything and do not mean anything. There is no concreteness in them, but there is a lightness of understatement with countless nuances, semitones and gradations.
