"The night of music." The program of the Association "Exhibition Halls of Moscow"

For the second time, Moscow will host the citywide cultural event “The Night of Music”.

On October 4, 2014, the Moscow Exhibition Halls Association invites citizens to join the citywide cultural event Night of Music. This year, six galleries of the Association take part in it, which on the Night of Music have every chance of becoming centers of attraction for metropolitan music lovers.

The Vykhino art hall and the Na Kashirka gallery will present an unusual program, Music and Painting: Le Corbusier. Architect + composer ”, which will be of interest to both lovers of modern musical trends and admirers of the work of one of the most significant architects of the 20th century, reformer in architecture Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris (Le Corbusier). The program announced a unique experimental film "Electronic Poem" in 1956, a concert from the works of architect and composer Edgar Varez and pioneer of the electronic musical genre Yanis Xenakis performed by the leading Russian contemporary music collective "Studio of New Music" with comments by composer and art critic Fedor Safronov.

Classical music lovers will be opened by the Belyaevo Gallery, the walls of which will include works by F. Chopin, L. van Beethoven, I.S. Bach and others, united in the concert program "Fantasies of the classics." Performed by laureate of international competitions, pianist Maria Dvoskina.

In the gallery-workshop GRAUND "Sandy" you can get acquainted with the work of Soviet and Russian avant-garde composers: a concert-lecture "Denisov. Schnittke. Gubaidulina "will be held as part of the cycle" Waves of the Russian avant-garde. "

Gallery-workshop GRUND “Khodynka” is preparing a special workshop and a lecture on the topic “Free Improvisation” (from the series “Sound Impact”). With the help of free musical improvisation, everyone will be able to try different types of musical communication, both invented by composers of the past, and created here and now by the participants in the workshop.

Young musicians are expected in the Solntsevo art center, where the SemiNotka musical and educational project will open a real workshop on the wonderful transformation of a wide variety of objects into musical instruments. Under the strict guidance of the main masters of “Seven Notka”, the mass production of musical instruments will be organized from the most accessible, but sonorous materials. All young music lovers will be able to easily repeat their experiments at home.

This year, music events on the Night of Music will cover 250 city cultural venues: from the Moscow Philharmonic Society and the Conservatory to district music schools, libraries and cultural centers. Musical Night will bring together classical, jazz and contemporary performers. Free concerts throughout the city will be attended by both novice musicians and recognized eminent masters. “We want the“ Night of Music ”to set the tone for the musical life of the capital,” said S.
