The Golden Key Theater will open before the audience the doors to the kingdom of Cinderella, perhaps the most famous tale of love, friendship and justice!

“Cinderella” is a Western European fairy tale and one of the most popular wandering stories, which has more than a thousand incarnations in folklore of different peoples of the world. So, the St. Petersburg playwright Eugene Schwartz 70 years ago wrote a play about Cinderella based on the tale of Charles Perrault, which laid the foundation for the legendary film of the 1947 Lenfilm film studio. And today, with his New Year’s musical show about a fair miracle and human happiness according to Schwartz’s script, the Golden Key International Center for Theater Arts pays tribute to the great storyteller and, using the latest technology, reopens an old story for contemporary sophisticated audiences.

Turning to the play of the Soviet playwright, the directors of the play, honored figures of the Crimea Anastasia and Andrei Permyakov kept the classic traditions of the beloved fairy tale, they only transferred it to New Year’s Eve! Thus, the magician Santa Claus began to control the course of events, strictly leading the tale to a happy ending! The main artist of the Golden Key Theater, Honored Artist of Crimea Dimitry Nikolaev and director Andrei Permyakov, who embodied their original ideas in costumes of fairy-tale characters and the musical design of the performance, are responsible for the magical scenic world of the production. Lyrics specifically for the music show "Cinderella" was written by Yulia Shelegova, Honored Worker of Culture of Crimea.

Spectators will enjoy a lively and fascinating performance, full of irony, curiosities and metamorphoses, with lively interesting characters, unusually beautiful scenery and costumes, amazing and memorable music and dancing, excellent voices and the play of Golden Key Theater actors!

Over 100 employees of the International Center for Theater Arts “Golden Key” and pupils of the acting and choreographic groups of the center work on the production. About 60 people are involved in the show itself on the stage - child actors and artists of the professional troupe of the Studio 22 youth theater center.
