Images of Marilyn Monroe. Lecture by Polina Ukhanova

Marilyn Monroe was and remains a legend and a sex symbol, a unique phenomenon in the history of world cinema, and until now, after more than half a century since the death of a platinum blonde, whose main role has not been played, her image continues to be copied and replicated.

For many years, William Travilla worked on the Monroe images, which became cult both for fans of her work, and for fashionistas around the world. The most striking images of Marilyn, their artistic prototypes in the art and work of famous designers of the twentieth century and interesting facts from the life and work of the most beautiful actress of the last century will be discussed in a lecture.

The lecture is given by the head of the exhibition department of the Museum and Exhibition Center Fashion Museum Polina Ukhanova.

The lecture is part of the educational program of the Douglas Kirkland exhibition "Behind the Scenes."
