Personal exhibition of Roman Lyapin "QUADRI BRUTTI"

From the 16th of August to the 7th of September 2017, the personal exhibition of Roman Lyapin “Quadri BRUTTI” opens in the Artefice Gallery - an exhibition of bad paintings]. Roman Lyapin - painter, member of the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg, multiple winner of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree award of the regular competitions of Tuscany and Lazio (Italy) from 1992 to 2006, nominee of the Grand Prix at the landscape painting competition in Archinazzo - Romano 1996. Roman continued his professional education at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma (1993-1998), and then worked there as a teacher in the department of painting (1999-2005). Roman Lyapin combined pedagogical activity with active creative work. In his work, Roman relies on the traditions of Russian realism, as well as the classical European school, but modern Italian painting also had an equally strong influence on its formation. In 2008, Roman returned to St. Petersburg, where he continues to work as a painter, giving preference to the genre of urban landscape. The expressive language of painting, characteristic of Roman, masterfully combines the traditions of the Leningrad and Italian painting schools, while maintaining the ease and poetry of the compositional solution. Energetic pasty strokes form semi-abstract, vibrating picturesque spaces. Roman Lyapin’s paintings are imbued with the spirit of deep inner unity - this is an expressive, energetic painting, painted with a firm hand.
