The name of Tatiana Lareva - artist, teacher, art critic - is well known to lovers of fine art in Irkutsk and beyond. At the exhibition, dedicated to the anniversary of the author, will be presented all areas in which Tatiana Lareva has been actively working in recent years. The audience will meet with already familiar works, as well as with completely new paintings, which will be presented to the audience for the first time.
A significant part of the exhibition is devoted to the genre of thematic paintings, in which the artist has been working for a long time and even outlined several cycles: “Historical Irkutsk”, “Weekdays and holidays of the Irkutsk province”, “Shadows of the big city”, “Time of Troubles”. The central place at the exhibition will be taken by a large-scale canvas “Meeting of the Tsarevich in Irkutsk in 1891”. Nicholas II is represented on it, surrounded by his entourage and more than thirty portraits of the Irkutsk people of that time: merchants, gold miners, representatives of the clergy and government, people from the people.
The artist draws close attention to the portraits of his contemporaries. Among them - the gallery of actors Musical Theater. N.M. Zagursky, Theater of the Young Spectator. A. Vampilova. At the exhibition you can see several family portraits and familiar faces of Irkutsk people. The New Year’s performances and entreprises for the TYUZ decorated by Tatyana Lareva became a bright holiday for children and youth: “Twelve Months”, “The Stone Flower”, “Miracles in the New Year Forest”, “Secrets of the Ice Castle”. Elements of these performances are also reflected in the exhibition.
