Personal exhibition of the artist from Buryatia Balzhinima Dorzhieva

Balzhinima Dorzhiev - one of the brightest Buryat artists. At his personal exhibition in Irkutsk, which will open in the regional art museum. V.P. Sukachev, you can see more than 40 new paintings. The works are dedicated to the native land, its people, traditions, customs and legends. The artist’s favorite theme remains the female image: dangins and hatans, abstract and realistic nudes, portraits of charming and touching girls in the rain. The names of the paintings eloquently speak: “Girl with a dragonfly”, “Daughter of summer”, “Smell of childhood”, “Summer day of my childhood”, “Swans are flying”, “Seeing off the bride” and others.

For the audience, the artist’s canvases are a real celebration of color, giving joy and optimism, creating a special lyrical mood. The author himself has repeatedly noted that the main thing for him is to convey his feelings through paints, to return through color to himself, to his origins.

The exhibition of works by Balzhinima Dorzhiev will be located in the Main Building of the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum at the address: ul. Lenin, 5. The opening will take place on Thursday April 21, 2016 at 15.00. Entrance to the opening is free. The exhibition will run until May 29, 2016.

Balzhinima Dorzhiev was born in 1950 in the village of Ulan-Bulag of the Aginsky Buryat District. Graduated with honors from the Irkutsk Art College. Member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Buryatia since 1984. Awarded the titles of “People’s Artist of Buryatia”, “Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Buryatia”, “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation”. Member of republican, union, international exhibitions since 1981. For more than 20 years he worked as the main artist of the Buryat Drama Theater.
