By decision of the jury, the first prize in the nomination "Painting" following a long discussion and voting was awarded to the work "Winning" of the third-year student Maxim Korolkov. After a heated debate in the jury, in the nomination “Sculpture”, the figure of the “Balance” girl balancing on skates, Rufina Kulik, freshmen, was recognized as the winner. In the nomination “Graphics”, the first prize following the results of voting in the jury awarded the triptych “Fencing” by Tatyana Piksaykina (6 year). In the nomination "Architecture" in the conditions of fierce competition among 25 complex projects for the accuracy of detailing and originality, the jury awarded the victory to the work of Nikita Timonin (6 year) and Ksenia Tyazhkova (5 year) "Yacht Club at the Galley Fairway". The best study was the work “Sport as a Eurythmy. The concept of the perfect person in the works of Alexander Deineka and Ferdinand Hodler”Alexandra Romanova (5 year). The best work of lyceum students in the nomination “Young Artist” was recognized by the sculpture “Fight on the Japanese Islands” by Vladislav Mukhanov (12th grade).
The most long-awaited and unpredictable nomination “Public Recognition”, according to the results of the visitors’ voting, determined other works as the best: the best picture was the canvas “Death Match” of the lyceum student Mikhail Tishakov (10th grade of the lyceum). The best sculpture with a majority of votes was the figure of the Ping-Pong player Alena Gnidina, who was frozen in a blow (5 year).
According to the jury, the main result of the Tenth Competition was an exhibition: vivid, controversial in the decisions of artists and therefore provoked heated, long discussions of artists and art historians - experts of the jury. The sports theme of the competition was proposed by philanthropist Igor Minakov. “We would like, in today’s conditions, young artists to think about a similar topic from their daily lives, but at the same time, an important topic - about the creative world, about the possibility of personal development that sports gives,” the philanthropist explained.
Diplomas, medals and awards of the anniversary competition were awarded to the winners by the rector, Corr. PAX, member of the Presidential Council for Culture and Art Semyon Mikhailovsky, vice-rectors and deans of the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
In two weeks, the Organizing Committee of the Igor Minakov Prize project will invite viewers to the award website, where from May to June an Internet vote will open for two awards in the Public Recognition nomination: the best picture and the best sculpture. Each prize is 50 thousand rubles. The entire project is financed from the personal funds of the patron.
