Presentation of the book of Smirnova Nadezhda Borisovna "War and Faith" in the Kaluga Museum

The book “War and Faith” is a book about war. And about the human soul. About how to save yourself in a monstrous meat grinder, not to break, not to submit, not to lose faith. This book is about love. About a bright feeling, over which time has no power. And that only a sincere and pure person can stay true to his duty. This book is about the connection of generations. About those warriors who gave their lives for their father’s house. For faith in God. For the Motherland… And about us - their descendants. The book is based on real events. The names and surnames of the heroes are genuine.

The author of the book, Nadezhda Smirnova, was born in Mosalsk, Kaluga Region, on January 4, 1960. After graduating from Mosalsky secondary school No. 1 in 1977, she entered the correspondence department of the Kaluga Pedagogical Institute. K.E. Tsiolkovsky at the Faculty of History. In parallel, she worked as a correspondent for a regional newspaper. In 1996 she graduated from the Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy, Department of Psychology. She worked in Mosalsk and at the same time worked as a journalist with a number of regional and central newspapers and magazines. From 2009 to the present, he has been a regular contributor to the Slavyanka Orthodox magazine (Moscow), a cycle of Orthodox stories. Many stories of N. Smirnova were included in the book “Women’s Fates” published by the Ark Publishing House (2012). From 2009 to the present, it has been published in the journal Family of Russia, a series of essays. From 2009 to 2011, she actively collaborated with the Orthodox Moscow newspaper, a series of essays. In 2008, the first book of Nadezhda Smirnova “The Last Hero” was published. Since May 2010, he has been actively working in the Orthodox publishing house Humility (Moscow). They saw the light and dispersed in large editions of the book of Nadezhda Smirnova “Touch my heart, Lord,” “Outside the gates of the temple. Confession of a lonely soul ”,“ Stepanov’s bread ”,“ Treasures of Paraskeva Fridays ”,“ Holy Spring ”,“ Indian Summer ”, as well as three children’s books from the cycle about the childhood of the first Russian queen Evdokia Streshneva“ Gift of the Queen of Heaven ”(reprinted twice), "Dunyashina Easter" and "Trinity Green." In 2014, the EKSMO publishing house (Moscow) published the book “I’ve returned, Lord!” (Circulation of 2,000 copies). In 2014, the book “Bird in the Height” (circulation of 10,000 copies) was published at the publishing house of the Klykovsky Monastery

In February 2015, the publishing house OLMA MEDIA GROUP published a book by Nadezhda Smirnova “War and Faith” (circulation of 3,000 copies).

The book “The Secret of the Old Psalter” (“Humility”) is being prepared for release in March 2015.

The book “Touch my heart, Lord” was reprinted three times, “Outside the Gates of the Temple. Confession of a lonely soul ”- three times. For the same book, N. Smirnova received the National Award “Best Books and Publishers of 2010” in the nomination “Special Award”.

The presentation will take place at the Information, Educational and Exhibition Center of the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts at the following address: Kaluga, ul. Lenin, d. 103, the building of the Information, educational and exhibition center of the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts.
