Presentation of the book by V. Potresov "Moscow of our childhood"

On October 15, at 15:00, the Presentation of V. Potresov’s book “Moscow of Our Childhood” will be held at the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography.

The book is based on the archive of father Vladimir Alexandrovich, photographer Alexander Sergeyevich Potresov, which includes hundreds of negatives and prints of post-war Moscow. In this archive there are almost no photographs of the thirties and forties, when the capital was considered a “regime” city.

The story in the book will be about a decade from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s. The viewer and reader will see capital streets and alleys, squares and avenues, boulevards and gardens, courtyards and parks of the middle of the last century. How did you live, work and study, what were Muscovites interested in and how did you relax, what concerts and exhibitions did you visit, how did you walk in parks, ride carousels and river buses, what buses and trolleybuses did you ride? You will find the answers to these questions on the pages of the book!
