Pskov through the eyes of artist Evgeny Ladygin

The I. I. Vasilev Local History Library invites you to a solo exhibition by Moscow artist Evgeny Ladygin, "Pskov through the Eyes of the Artist Evgeny Ladygin."

The exhibition features graphic works from various years. All are dedicated to Pskov’s landmarks and are part of the extensive "Pskov Series," which currently comprises over 500 drawings and paintings in various styles. Many of these works served as illustrations for the guidebook "Pskov, Izborsk, Pechory through the Eyes of an Artist," written and illustrated by Evgeny Ladygin .

The exhibition features pen drawings in the academic style, as well as the artist’s unique color graphic technique, "Pen Painting," distinguished by an original graphic interpretation of classical watercolor techniques. This technique brings drawing closer to painting, and paper of various colors helps realize artistic ideas. Watercolors using the spot technique occupy a special place in the retrospective. Admission is free.
