May 16 at 18.30 in the Perm Art Gallery opens an exhibition dedicated to the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. The exposition is based on paintings, drawings, sculptures, arts and crafts from the Perm Gallery collection, original historical documents from the State Archives of the Perm Territory, bibliographical rarities from the Scientific Library of the Perm Humanitarian-Pedagogical University.
Each time brings its own thinkers, poets, philosophers, scientists, musicians, artists, each era has its own people. But over the course of two centuries, we have called the first Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. We repeat for MF Odoyevsky the “sun of Russian poetry”, for A. A. Grigoriev “our everything”, for F. I. Tyutchev “Russia’s first love”. We quote the genius: “the frost and the sun are a wonderful day,” “winter, the peasant triumphant,” “the golden chain on the oak of that,” “would you not chase the priest for cheapness”, “I’m in the light of everything dearer”... Pushkin remains still fresh, pungent, awesome, unique.
The exhibition invites viewers to follow the path of the Pushkin-era Spirit and the poet’s life line. The exposition is based on paintings, drawings, sculptures, decorative and applied arts of the nineteenth century from the collection of the Perm Art Gallery. The life of the poet, the fundamental events in the fate, friendship and family ties appear in the works of Galaktionov, Ukhtomsky, Mate, Rundaltsov, Kuzmin, Terekhov, Goryaev, Kiselyov, Vitali, Beklemisheva, Tolstoy, Schultz, and other works of art, which belong to the rest of the year, and the pieces of art that belong to the rest of the world.
The exhibition is complemented by authentic historical documents of the beginning of the nineteenth century, submitted to the exhibition by the State Archives of the Perm Territory.
The rare editions of Pushkin’s works found their place in the exhibition spaces - books with autographs of the publisher Smirdin, lifetime editions of the poet. Among them, the most unique exhibit - the original of the eighth chapter of the novel "Eugene Onegin". This is not just a bibliographic rarity, but a censor copy with a corresponding certificate. The following is attached to the bookend of the Perm copy: “Testimony of the Printing House of the Department of National Education. Sim testify that the book under the title: Eugene Onegin.
