The evening program includes romances of the 20-30 years of the last century by composers Pokrass, Shostakovich, Marcel, Fomin, Prozorovsky.

The unusual charm of the Russian romance lies in its confidential intonation, conveying the subtle, often sentimental, personal feelings of its authors and performers. But in the Soviet period, when collectivism was everywhere introduced into the consciousness of the people, the genre popular and beloved in all walks of life suffered humiliation and persecution. The romance was accused of "gypsy", philistinism, assigned him the label of "bourgeois" culture. The authors of wonderful romances were persecuted. They passed away unrecognized and all forgotten. The romance was preserved largely thanks to the Russian emigration. The death of the Empire and the ensuing Civil War scattered many hundreds of thousands of Russians around the world. They, the émigrés of the “first wave”, carried Russian melodies, songs and romances around the world.
