Rostislav Mashin will talk about the secrets of macro photography

On Saturday, December 3, at 17.00 in the Gallery of Classical Photography, a regular meeting will take place with a member of the Russian Photo club. This time, her guest will be a laureate of domestic and international photo contests, photographer and traveler Rostislav Mashin.

The meeting with the expert will be held under the theme “Macro Photography and Landscape on Travel”. Within its framework, macro photography features in field conditions will be considered, as well as various genres of macro photography - from close-up portraits to micro-landscapes. Special attention will be paid to the selection of equipment for shooting wildlife: participants in the meeting will be able to learn how to choose a tripod, light, additional equipment, macro lenses and macro rings, what is the structure of the field macro photo studio. In addition, Rostislav will talk about methods of interaction with representatives of the microworld and present examples of his own photographs. In conclusion, he will share with the guests of the meeting practical tips that will help shape the photographer’s individual vision and style.

Rostislav Mashin was born and raised in Moscow, graduated from Moscow State Agricultural Academy, after graduation he worked at the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Graphics, combining teaching and designing with photography and studying the geometry of wildlife. A member of the Russian Geographical Society and the Russian Photo Club, the photographer of the magazine Russian Photo, made many trips and photo expeditions to the most unknown and interesting corners of our country - from the Komi Republic to Baikal, Buryatia and the Kamchatka Territory. Works mainly in two favorite genres - landscape and macro photography. He participated in a large number of international exhibition projects, repeatedly became the laureate of Russian and international photo contests, including IPA (International Photography Awards), IFPC (International Filter Photo Contest), “National Geographic. Wildlife of Russia ”,“ Best of Russia. The best photos of Russia ”and many others.
