"I would like to play with this violinist"

The theme of the evening will be the story of the legendary duet of Svyatoslav Richter and Oleg Kagan. Hearing the inspired and direct play of the brilliant student of David Oistrakh, Richter said: “… I would like to play with this violinist…” For more than twenty years, starting from 1969 until the tragic death of Oleg Kagan in the summer of 1990, there was an extremely rare ensemble of two congenial and close-minded musicians in their solar harmony. The concert program included violin sonatas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven and Paul Hindemith, which became the pinnacles of performing skills and the finest interpretation of each opus.
