Emil Kio’s student will surprise the audience with numbers in the illusion genre, and will also repeat the most dangerous escape trick, which in 2017 almost cost him his life.

In the genre of illusions, Sergei Vorontsov has no equal in Russia - the Russian magician creates amazing illusions by synthesizing various genres of this art in his shows - from micromagic and reading thoughts at a distance, to the disappearance of cars. The skill honed by years of hard training and tremendous sleight of hand help Sergey Vorontsov to perform dangerous escape tricks in the style of the legendary Harry Houdini. The show of the Russian illusionist consists of all kinds of shoots and release from cells, shackles, ropes, bags, passing various obstacles. All tricks happen directly in front of the audience: the illusionist does not use any television effects, photo or video editing.

Sergey Vorontsov has been known to the general public since 2011, when he performed at the Eurovision Song Contest as an illusionist. Then the Russian put a technically difficult number for the Croatian performer Daria Kintser under the competitive composition Celebrate. This was the first time in the history of Eurovision when an illusionist took part in this music competition. The number turned out so spectacular that Sergei had fans around the world.

The impeccable execution of the most complicated tricks on the technique was glorified by Sergey Vorontsov in many countries, where he demonstrated his illusion shows. However, the number may not always end safely. So, in 2017, the unexpected happened - during the execution of the most difficult number, the fixing legs of the rivet could not stand it, and the magician flew stone upside down from a great height in front of a stunned audience. As a result of a fall from a height of 6 meters, Sergey received a broken leg. The cause of the accident was a technical malfunction.

Rehabilitation took more than a year. His recovery was helped by his incredible fortitude, inflexibility and readiness to achieve his goal - to repeat the dangerous stunt in the escape genre.

On October 3, during his show “Houdini’s Tricks” on the stage of Crocus City Hall, Sergey Vorontsov will again repeat this complicated number, which is refined in detail. According to Sergei, he improved and complicated the trick of the legendary Houdini, adding even more adrenaline and risk.
