Exhibition of a collection of artworks by Moscow philanthropist Sergei Ivanovich Schukin and his brothers. The history of the Schukin family will be told with the help of the greatest masterpieces of art: paintings by impressionists and modernists, unique works of oriental art, paintings by old masters and items of French furniture of the 18th century.
The exposition will allow the viewer to plunge into the eventful life of Paris, Moscow and Berlin at the beginning of the 20th century, the active participants of which were the Schukin brothers.
Most of the unique collection has been collected by Sergei Ivanovich Schukin and will be presented in 11 museum halls.
Today the collection is divided between two museums - the A. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.
