"Pages of the history of one regiment"

September 29, in the gallery "Belyaevo" Association "Exhibition Halls of Moscow" will be a presentation of the photo-documentary project "Pages of the history of one regiment", dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the 17th Hussars Chernigov regiment.

In 2018, the 350th anniversary of the 17th Hussar Chernigov Regiment, one of the oldest regiments of the Russian cavalry, is celebrated. Since the time of the Battle of Poltava in 1709, the regiment took part in almost all the wars of Russia against the enemy, it has come a long and glorious path. Since 1911, when the commander of the regiment was Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich, brother of the Sovereign, he became known as the 17 Hussar Chernigov of His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich.

The exposition will feature photographs of the ranks of the Hussar Chernigov regiment from the private archive, documents, military equipment, uniforms, awards, the true gospel of the Chernigov regiment, a wooden miniature.

The direct descendants of the ranks of the regiment, representatives of military-historical clubs will take part in the presentation of the photo-documentary project “Pages of the history of one regiment”. The program of the presentation: greeting officials, lithium for the fallen soldiers with regimental icons, handing memorial tokens to the descendants of officers with reading biographies of their ancestors.
