An exhibition of the Academy and the watercolor school of Sergei Andriyaka has opened in Moscow Automatic translate

In the very center of Moscow, in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" (Manezhnaya sq., 1), the exhibition "The Academy and the School of Watercolors by Sergey Andriyaka" opened, which will last until May 5, 2017. Within the framework of the exhibition dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Academy, for the first time in Russia, the author’s system of continuous art education developed from the national artist Sergei Andriyaka from primary school to the highest level of education will be demonstrated.

The exhibition, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow, will feature works by both Sergei Andriyaka himself, and artists, teachers, students and students of the Academy and the School of Watercolor, as well as the work of gifted children of the Sirius Educational Center, in which taught by the masters of the Academy. The exposition will include more than 4000 exhibits made in various techniques and types of art - drawing, watercolor, oil and tempera painting, pastels, animal sculptures, stained glass, mosaics, ceramics, porcelain, ceramics and porcelain paintings, jewelry, miniatures, book illustrations, pottery and others.

Sergey Andriyaka is known in Russia and far beyond its borders as a master of classical multilayer watercolors. In parallel with his work, Sergey Andriyaka is engaged in pedagogical activities. The artist has developed and implemented a proven methodology for teaching children and adults about art skills. Each teacher of the School and Academy is an independent, actively working artist, a participant in many exhibitions, various creative programs in Russia and abroad. The educational works of students and pupils on a similar scale are exhibited for the first time and amaze with their skill, a variety of topics and plots.

A diverse program of events has been prepared for visitors to the exhibition: excursions, free trial lessons, demonstration workshops on watercolors and various areas of applied art, presentation of teaching aids, concerts of creative groups and meetings with prominent cultural and art workers. At the weekend, master classes will be held by Sergey Andriyaka himself. The exposition will feature more than 30 multimedia screens with videos of master classes, methodological training lessons in watercolor painting and drawing. The exhibition will also be accompanied by informative texts: stories and commentaries on paintings, educational and methodological explanations for children’s works. Participants in trial lessons will be able to create their own small unique work under the guidance of experienced teachers - make a watercolor drawing, mold a clay vessel, assemble a mosaic panel and much more.

During the exhibition, the Manege will host a conference on contemporary art education with the participation of the rector of the Academy of Watercolors and Fine Arts Sergey Andriyaka and the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva.

Visitors to the exhibition will have a unique chance to enjoy works of contemporary traditional realistic art, get acquainted with the system of continuing art education and personally participate in the process of creating works.
