The exhibits will be a unique interior and furnishings complex of a confectionery shop, which is the rarest example of this kind, as well as a private collection of retro posters from the 50-60s dedicated to bread business, reflecting the history of the USSR through poster art that conveys ideas in the best way possible, mood and politics of that time.

As part of the exhibition, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art offers the thematic program “Russian Tea Party” for children and adults.

The Lamb Candy exhibition will be open to visitors from February 22 to March 21. The day off is Tuesday.

The central exhibit of the exhibition will be the unique interior-decoration complex of the confectionery shop, received at the museum as a gift from Marina Vladimirovna Meledina. The furniture ensemble, which includes slide showcases and counters made in the style of the Soviet Art Deco, located on Pyatnitskaya street, 9 from the late 1940s to the mid 1990s, is the rarest example of this kind, because over the past 10- For 15 years, the interiors of the central Moscow confectionery were almost completely destroyed.

The “life” of the confectionery is attached to real packaging for confectionery from the collections of the Museum of the History of Chocolate and Cocoa and the exhibits of the glass department of VMDPNI.

Of particular interest is the private collection of retro posters of the 50-60s, collected by Galina Bandurkina, President of the Astarta Group of Companies.

For the first time, the public will be presented the works of the best masters of poster graphics of the last century, devoted to bread business, which are unique examples of Soviet poster art.

“The poster is an imprint of time, thanks to a variety of plots, reflecting all kinds of events in the life of Russia. That is why it is invaluable material for historians and collectors. In turn, the theme of bread is one of the most touching and revealing in the history of the country, ”says Galina Bandurkina.
