In the "Victory Square" on Chistye Prudy will open the spring season

The festive opening of the spring season will take place on Friday, March 4 at 12. 00 in the “Victory Square” on Chistye Prudy (Arkhangelsky Lane, 10 p. 2). The main theme of the presentation will be the preservation of peace on Earth.

As a gift to Muscovites, the theater del arte “Grim Massa” will present the play “MIR”. In a multi-faceted street performance, dance, pantomime and acrobatics, circus genres and art objects are mixed. The performance, permeated with sensations of peace and war, is designed to make the viewer think about preserving the life and fragility of our planet.

The creator of the films “The Battalion” and “The Brest Fortress” Igor Ugolnikov will present a new art project: the film almanac “The First World War. WW1 ". This is the result of the collaboration of directors from the USA, Serbia, Germany, Turkey, England, Canada, Russia, France. Each side in its short story tells about the perception of the events of the First World War. Their opinions are united in one thing - war does not spare anyone: neither children, nor old people, nor women, nor animals. The trailer for the film will be shown in Moscow for the first time.

- One hundred years - time to forgive. One hundred years is the time to remember. The film was shot for edification, so that we, the inhabitants of the 21st century, protect the world on Earth, so that we remember, ”says Igor Ugolnikov about his picture.

Victors Square was opened in Moscow on November 7, 2015 at the initiative of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO). It presents the names of victory from different eras: from a soldier to a marshal. Visitors to the square can spend time exploring the busts and monuments of the defenders of the Motherland.

In the “ Victory Square” busts are presented: George the Victorious, Admiral Thaddeus Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev, Marshal George Zhukov, Field Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov, as well as the image of a fighter on the Smolensk road. There are also unusual sculptures: a statue of a bear (a copy of the statue donated by Dmitry Medvedev to the Philippines during the APEC forum) and a monument to a front-line dog (a copy of the monument on Poklonnaya Hill). The Moscow premiere of the movie almanac “WW1” will take place on May 18, 2016 at the Cosmos cinema. The hero of the film (Ivan Krasko), telling his very young great-granddaughter (Anna Sorokina) about the First World War, recalls the stories of his father about comrades. A shot-through icon, a map, a story printed in the Niva magazine for 1915, a dried clover and a faded photograph in the album all recall memories of the terrible grimaces of war, ruined lives and unfulfilled dreams. On his centenary, his great-grandfather is sure that there is no greater happiness in the world than a peaceful sky above his head. The film was shot with the support of the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Russian Cinematography, the Russian Military-Historical Society and the Russian Youth Union.

The Grim Mass Theater was founded in Moscow in 2006 by Pavel Ivanov, laureate of international circus art contests and a special Yuri Nikulin Prize. The main goal of the theater is to increase the number of happy people on Earth. The theater’s productions trace the entire developmental path of the comedy del arte genre from the arena performances of 16th century Italian strolling troupes to the 20th century productions created by the masters of theatrical art Meyerhold, Vakhtangov, Jacques Kopo and Jean-Louis Barro. The name “Grim Massa” encoded the words: “a large amount of makeup” to create masks and “grimace” - the main theatrical technique of actors to express the feelings and emotions of the characters.
