"Eternal Values" - the first monthly antique exposition

September 19, 2015 from 12 to 20-00 in the Metropol Hotel will be the first significant event for collectors, as well as lovers and connoisseurs of antiques.

In the very heart of the capital, in one of the Metropol halls, more than 40 leading collectors of Moscow and St. Petersburg will present rare antique home furnishings, paintings, silverware, porcelain, antique fabrics, vintage collectible bags and hats, fans, antique bronze figurines, lamps and more.

Connoisseurs of ancient works will be given the opportunity to purchase or book absolutely all items in the collections, as well as receive advice on the restoration and evaluation of specialists of the highest level.

The atmosphere of the salon will be supported by live classical music, champagne tasting and a rich cultural and educational program. A professional guide will conduct a tour of the famous historical interiors of the Metropol, performed by prominent Russian architects and artists during the heyday of the Art Nouveau style.

1. From 13-00 to 15-30 Alexandra Edelberg, star stylist and permanent expert of the Fashion Sentence program, will hold a unique master class, Stylish Vintage for Every Day.

Students will learn how to combine old hats with modern hairstyles and dresses and how to make a retro look relevant. Any guest who comes with a vintage hat can become a master class model. Also, Alexandra will open the veil of secrecy behind the scenes of the Fashionable Sentence and reveal the secrets of filming the program.

2. From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Elena Gennadyevna Tolmacheva, a well-known Russian Egyptologist, candidate of historical sciences and a permanent participant in the expeditions of the Center for Egyptological Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences “Egyptomania: Great Fakes and Great Collections” will speak before the guests.

The lecture will be devoted to the history of the formation of famous museum and private collections of artifacts from excavations of Egyptian tombs, the creation of famous fakes and scandals that are associated with them.

4. From 19-00 to 20-00, Alexander Vasiliev will hold a charity auction in support of the Natalie Children’s Theater Studio of Historical Costume, in which disabled children and children from orphanages play. In addition to antique rarities from the best Moscow collectors, a fashion historian will present lots from his own collection.
