VI Festival of children’s dance "Svetlana"

March 1, 2020 with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow on the stage of the Palace of Gymnastics Irina Viner-Usmanova in Luzhniki will be held VI Charity Children’s Dance Festival "Svetlana".

This year it will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In terms of the number of participants and the variety of numbers presented, this is one of the largest and most striking children’s dance events in Russia.

Classical, folk, modern - the idea to combine and present different genres and directions of dance art in one concert belongs to the world ballet star Svetlana Zakharova. During the year, received applications from teams are considered and the best ones are selected.

Spectators are waiting for an unforgettable experience: in order for the choreographic show to be colorful, a large stage and scenery is built especially for the festival, and graphics are drawn for each number, video clips with animation are shot.

“This year our country celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. It is very important for us that new generations of Russians remember and know their history, the exploits of their great-grandfathers. Therefore, this year we decided to devote the whole block of our concert to the theme of the Great Patriotic War, ”said People’s Artist of Russia, State Prize Laureate, prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia and the etual of La Scala Theater Svetlana Zakharova.

For five years, the Svetlana Festival has gained an army of fans and the status of one of the most important and authoritative events in the world of choreographic art. Every year he gathers several thousand spectators and hundreds of young artists from all over the country. This year, the organizers selected more than 20 groups from different parts of our country to participate in the project: dance groups from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Magnitogorsk, Barnaul, Yoshkar-Ola, Neftekamsk, Makhachkala, Penza, Kazan, Nizhny will take part in the event. Novgorod, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Sevastopol, Millerovo, Podolsk and Kraskovo. A real factory of young talents.

“The Svetlana Festival has a very high level of performance, so all the teams go through rigorous selection,” says Svetlana Zakharova. Teams that have gained the right to enter the Moscow stage are often laureates of various contests, including international ones. “The festival was conceived in order to show how versatile and talented Russian children are. Svetlana is not a competition, there are no losers. Everyone who participated is already a winner. In many ways, the rigorous selection process for young dancers is dictated by the fact that the Festival is a charity. Moreover, charity consists in absolutely everything, from the arrival of groups, their residence in Moscow, and ending with the distribution of tickets, ”explained the founder and artistic director of the Festival Svetlana Zakharova.

For many young artists, this is the first exit to the big stage. The organizers are sure that for someone this performance will be the beginning of the path to the big stage.
