East European Antique House invites everyone to a Christmas exhibition

The last auction of the year will take place on the birthday of the East European Antique House - December 13th . Traditionally, lots will be put up for Christmas trading that will not only decorate any private collection, but will also be a wonderful gift for the New Year or Christmas. The auction will be preceded by an exhibition that will begin on November 29 and will last until the start of bidding.

The East European Antique House invites everyone to celebrate our second birthday and plunge into the atmosphere of a real Christmas market. During the days of the Christmas Gifts pre-auction exhibition, the salon on Lomonosovsky Prospekt will be buried in the scents of cinnamon, gingerbread, tangerines and mulled wine, which are inevitably associated with the most joyful and bright holidays of the year.

In anticipation of New Year’s events in the East European Antique House unique lots will be exhibited, which will be great gifts for both professional collectors and all lovers of the beautiful.

One of the most interesting sections of the show will be devoted to the collection of the Dollezhaly family. The outstanding scientist-designer Nikolai Antonovich Dollezhal became famous throughout the world for his developments in the field of nuclear physics. In addition, he was a great lover of antiques, especially Russian. Within the framework of the Christmas exhibition, his collection will be represented by unique products of the leading factories of the Russian Empire. This is a set of plates made in the technique of chromolithography, based on the works of Russian battle painter Nikolai Karazin (98,000 rubles, the starting price is indicated hereinafter) and a teapot from the Coral Service (73,700 rubles) from the Kornilov brothers factory; a set of five items - a teapot, sugar bowl, milkman, cup and saucer "Russian Forest" Popov plant (135 000 rubles). The products of these factories are highly valued in the antique market and are on a par with Gardner porcelain and the Imperial Porcelain Factory.

Also in the Dollezhale collection are other objects of amazing beauty, one of which sets up for a festive mood: the “Winter Landscape” vase manufactured by Daum Freres (135,000 rubles), a set of 53 items from the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory (206,000 rubles), etc.

Visitors to the Christmas exhibition will also get acquainted with the collection of the outstanding Russian pop artist, composer and poet Alexander Vertinsky, the author of lines that are very suitable for the show:

Among the antiques collected by Alexander Nikolaevich are glasses with a vine on a green leg (Bohemia, 55,000 rubles), green conical glasses (Russia, 194,000 rubles) and other glass and porcelain products.

Dozens of Meissen porcelain lovers will be presented with dozens of unique objects both in beauty and in antique value. Guests of the Christmas exhibition will see the famous plot from ancient Greek mythology “The Abduction of Europe”, made in china (259,000 rubles), an eagle sculpture created by the famous animal sculptor Oscar Eric Hezel (112,000 rubles), a plate with a decor that repeats the famous St. Andrew’s service, made for the Russian Empress Elizabeth I (77,800 rubles), a dish with a bouquet and flowers (125,000 rubles), the figure “Boys Playing” (55,000 rubles), a sugar bowl with floral decorations and handles in the form of branches (70,000 rubles), and others are equally interesting Exhibited exhibits.

This is a platinum ring of the Swiss company Jacob & Co with a “diamond” cut diamond with a calculated weight of 4.88 carats and two fancy cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of 1.31 carats. The starting price of this lot is set at 3,334,000 rubles.

A golden gift for ladies by Christmas will also be a golden watch. For example, a Chopard chronograph with inserts of more than 180 diamonds. The starting price of this lot is 1,223,000 rubles.
