In antiquity, the sea shell was an attribute of female deities and a symbol of the water element. The spiral shell of Nautiluis carried the image of the Universe-cosmos.

The history of the image of shells as a symbol of the sea, rooted in ancient Greece. According to myths, the goddess of love Aphrodite emerged from the sea foam and reached the shore on a scallop shell. The fullness of the Renaissance arts describes this mythological plot.

The paintings by Tatyana Muralova, presented to your attention, were created in a different historical era and can serve as a symbol of the union of spirit and matter, the personification of love and nature. Her works contain the search for the philosophy of life through the prism of the bizarre spiral-shaped space of a shell as an allegory of being.

Tatyana Muralova - artist, photographer. She studied at the Nizhny Novgorod Art College, perfected mastery at the Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Ilya Glazunov. Since 2000, a participant in exhibitions in Russia and abroad.

2003 - personal exhibition, modern project with the Galliarda early music ensemble within the framework of the Cultural Capital program (Nizhny Novgorod).

2006 participant of the exhibition at the Radisson-Slavyanskaya Hotel (Moscow).

2010 - participation in the Rook 2010 exhibition at the Expocenter (Moscow).

In 2010-2011, she participated in the creation of two television programs about painting the underwater world and about the famous Blue Hole dive site in Dahab in Egypt (the channel “Trust Southwest of the Capital”).

In 2011, the painting “Walking on the Water” took 3rd place in the Fantasy nomination at the Artweek competition in Berlin.

Since 2013, she worked as an illustrator at the Moscow Publishing House in Moscow.

2015 - participant of the Youth Exhibition in the Moscow Union of Artists.
