“La Citta” - a personal exhibition of Roman Lyapin - a long-planned project that this summer the organizers and the artist realized on the site of the “Ts” gallery. The exposition included 20 panoramic works by the painter, many of which were specially prepared for this exhibition. Petersburg and Roman cityscape is the main theme of the exposition.

The expressive language of painting, characteristic of Roman, masterfully combines the traditions of the Leningrad and Italian painting schools, while maintaining the ease and poetry of the compositional solution. The masterly mastery of light and color in the paintings enhances the expressive and romantic mood, and allows you to see landscapes from an unexpected angle. The use of the canons of classical painting, the ability to combine the modern life of the city and its historical past, to identify the abstract component, to convey the minute-by-minute state of the environment, its romantic beginning are important aspects of all the master’s paintings. Remaining an innovator of architectural interpretation, in the series of his paintings presented at the exhibition, the master develops a dialogue about the beauty and eternity of the world cultural capitals.

At the exhibition "La Citta" (translated from Italian "City"), the artist conveys his personal vision of the urban environment of St. Petersburg and Rome. Landscapes of beautiful cities, sung by poets, musicians and artists, come to life on the canvases of Roman Lyapin in the dynamic rhythm of modern city life.
