On October 3, at the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolors, the opening of the exhibition "50th anniversary of the Studio of V.V. Vereshchagin of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia" will be held dedicated to the Studio’s major anniversary.
The exposition tells the story of a unique cultural unit in the system of the Ministry of the Interior. Artworks presented to the viewer include paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures created by different generations of artists, and are part of the Collection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
The pride of the collection is the work of outstanding Soviet graphic artists V.V. Dranishnikov, R.I. Yaushev, N.P. Velichko and V.I. Lenchin. Paintings illustrating rare scenes from the history of the service of the 18th-19th centuries were specially created by artists over the past five years to the significant date of the 300th anniversary of the Russian police.
Many famous Soviet artists worked closely with the Studio, countless exhibitions were organized and held. The members of the council were outstanding sculptors N.V. Tomsky, E.V. Vuchetich, O.K. Komov, L.E. Kerbel, M.K. Anikushin, Yu. G. Orekhov; painters V. M. Sidorov, E. I. Zverkov, I. P. Obrosov, N. M. Romadin, I. S. Glazunov, O. M. Savostyuk, B. A. Uspensky, A. M. Shilov, E N. Drobitsky; creative team of Soviet graphic artists and painters Kukryniksy.
Today, the Studio continues its traditions with dignity, artists create works of art that are a contribution to the development of knowledge of the history of service.
The exhibition runs from October 3 to November 17.
