Exhibition "Emotions" at the Museum of Modern History of Russia

The Museum of Contemporary History of Russia will host the opening of the exhibition "Emotions". The exhibition presents the work of 11 contemporary Russian artists - about 50 paintings.

The purpose of the exhibition is to arouse emotions, push the viewer to an inspired experience of works of art and create an unusual solemn atmosphere for this. Thanks to the multimedia projection, the space of the small hall is visually transformed into a kind of chapel of the Renaissance, recalling the limitless possibilities of art.

The artists participating in the exhibition present different styles, genres and techniques, but they are united by a single creative outlook on the nature of pictorial art. People of the same generation, professionals and masters in the highest sense of the word, they strive for the truth of form. Precise and elegant details are combined into a single jewelry pattern in which the reality of individual motifs is “removed” due to the conventionality and decorativeness of the whole, built according to laws that are far from any plausibility.

The high mastery of the transformation of the world causes admiration and surprise, as, indeed, the wonderful reality that appears on canvas.

The opening ceremony will take place on December 4, 2014 at 16:00.

The exhibition runs until January 18, 2015.
