“And what we call freedom is just the freedom to choose… queues,” the artist, who recently presented the series at Moscow’s Artplay and the New Tretyakov Gallery, will exhibit graphic panoramas of the crowd at Artmuse, reaching two meters in length. This concept was inspired by the rhythm of life in New York, where he grew up and spent most of his life.

The project reflects the desire to be part of society and at the same time be yourself. The artist has no illusions about his own exclusivity. But finding an authentic queue that reflects our desires is a step in the right direction of personal preference, choice, and responsibility. And sometimes, all our will and state of choice comes down to these decisions: to move on, to search and take the line of our choice. A rare desire to be different quickly transforms into a new trend that becomes "viral". In conditions when the masses are hungry for new incentives, any original idea instantly turns into a "fresh" ideology, which, in turn, becomes callous and turns into a signpost for those walking.

Evgeny Kravtsov was born in Odessa, grew up in America and came to Russia 7 years ago in search of new impressions and emotions - the origins and new ideas made him stay in Moscow. The artist graduated from the SVA University in New York, where he studied painting and graphics, and worked in the printing industry for 12 years. Working for a company and living in accordance with traditional goals has degenerated into a feeling that life is not endless and requires some rebelliousness: office, from the office back to the subway. And so on in a circle for years.
