Exhibition "Graphics of Russian and Western European Artists of the XVII - Early XXI Centuries"

From December 23, 2016 to January 29, 2017, the Sergey Andriyaka School of Watercolors will reveal their stock holdings to the faithful spectator. Exhibition "Graphics of Russian and Western European Artists XVII - beg. XXI centuries “This is a unique collection of graphic works by both old masters and our contemporaries. In total, the main fund has 269 storage units, including watercolors by Ivan Vladimirov, Alexei Gansen, Karl Gun, Louis Peren, Alexei Kivshenko, Mikhail Abakumov, Viktor Tsyplakov, Alexei Zhabsky, Alexei Kravchenko, engravings by Michel Lahn, Antonio Crespi, Jean-Baptiste Skoten, etchings of Gabriel Bodener with images of European cities, Philippe Morgen, Bernard Picard, Friedrich Weber, Vasily Mate.

Of particular interest are the drawings of George Vereisky, Vladimir Serov, Fedor Reshetnikov, portraits of cartoons of Boris Johanson. The viewers will see the drawings of these artists for the first time.

The younger generation will be interested in a series of illustrations for the publication of “Tales of A. S. Pushkin” by artist and illustrator Boris Dekhterev: “The Tale of the Golden Cockerel”, “The Tale of the Sleeping Princess and the Seven Knights”, “The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish”, “The Tale of Pope and his worker Balda "," The Tale of Tsar Saltan… ".

A separate room is dedicated to the work of our contemporary graphic artist, illustrator Anatoly Itkin, where you can see his watercolor paintings depicting beautiful landscapes, living still lifes, interiors, as well as illustrations for A. The exhibition presents the Project for the reconstruction of the building of the School of Watercolors by Sergey Andriyaka, architect Oleg Zhurin, thanks to which in 1999 the School with a museum and exhibition complex opened its doors where today you can enjoy beautiful masterpieces that delight the eyes of art lovers.
