Exhibition RESULTS OF SEASON № 54

June 9 at the Theater Museum. A.A. Bakhrushin will open the annual exhibition of Moscow theater artists RESULTS OF SEASON №54. The exhibition will present about 70 authors, more than 100 performances in 35 theaters of Russia, as well as the work of Moscow scenographers in theaters of Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Germany, Italy and the UK.

“Re. form ”- the slogan of the previous“ Results ”- replaces“ Movement. Construction ". It is such a fast-moving and dynamic term that will become the motto of the exhibition SEASON RESULTS No. 54. But really, does the exhibition that has been repeated 53 times already lose its true purpose - to present the best in the set design of the season, to discover new names, to interest an ever wider circle of spectators, to be unpredictable, intriguing, in tune with modern art… In a word, undergo development and move forward, and not just stay an exhibition that extends and honors tradition? A year ago, the museum offered scenographers the dilapidated building of the former medical unit, abandoned by the followers of Hippocrates… In it, the artists found an opportunity to organically place their works: models, sketches, installations, fitting them like a dexterous tailor to an awkward “figure”. They changed the code of the space, its navigation, and changed the stifling air with an admixture of medicine and dust to the smell of paints, wood, glue… Such a provocation proved to be very productive - and the exhibition became a highlight of the season. Well, this time, when the museum generously provided artists with their best "ceremonial" halls - Luzhnetskiy and the East facade hall? What will be the 54th exposition that has returned to the comfort zone? Will it not turn into a solid enumeration of theaters and authors, bringing joy only to the initiates? Theater is life. Theater - emotions. Theater is magic. Theater is an illusion. Theater is movement. Theater - construction. Theater - WORLD. Each time, the authors of the play discover something new, both for themselves and for the viewer. Build their world according to their own laws. Already for the 54th time, "builders" will present their projects to an inquisitive audience. Life is going. The theater lives and develops, reflecting reality and at the same time striving to go beyond the ordinary. At the "construction site" of the Bakhrushin Museum, you can simultaneously immerse yourself in a myriad of amazing worlds. Even in the mini-exposition, every artist tries to BUILD his own world. This is what distinguishes the exhibition RESULTS OF THE SEASON from many other exhibits. Most of the theater projects violate the laws of physics, fascinate with originality, originality of thinking. The theater does not stand still. The theater is moving forward, expanding the boundaries of the possible… I would like to believe that over time these boundaries will disappear altogether… (Vasilina Ovchinnikova, artist of the exposition).
