In the gallery "Belyaevo" Association "Exhibition Halls of Moscow" will open the exhibition "When my dad was little." The joint socio-artistic project of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Exhibition Halls of Moscow Association “World of Childhood” is being implemented as part of the state program “Decade of Childhood”.
The paintings and graphic works created by artists in fact throughout the history of the Moscow Union of Artists at the exhibition are united by the theme of childhood. These are the authors’ memories of their own childhood, toys, the world of fantasies and fairy tales. These are portraits of children, portraits of things, not fully expressed personal stories of project participants. The imagery of reality that formed that cozy and distinctive world of boys and girls with “secrets” in the yard, paper pigeons and boats, kites, dolls, toy cars, butterfly net and butterflies, games in cars and war games, shooting from a slingshot, catching up, riding with slides on a schoolbag.
The exhibition will include works from the legacy of famous artists: E. Bragovsky, A. Surovtsev, P. Krivonogov, N. Medvedev, V. Svetlitsky, G. Serov, as well as works by Moscow masters: V. Glukhov, A. Lyubavin, Z. Tsereteli, V. Kalinin, V. Rusanov, A. Sukhovetsky and others. Works of young authors, recent graduates of art universities.
Along with paintings, the exhibition will feature book illustrations, sculptures, ceramics, designer toys, art objects, and installations.
The curators of the exhibition are Olga Tikhonova, Vitaliy Patsyukov.
