Exhibition "Puppets of the Demmen Theater"

From November 4 to 7, the Puppet Theater in Kosice (Tajovského 4) will host the interactive exhibition "Puppets of the Demmen Theater" of the St. Petersburg State Puppet Theater named after E. S. Demmen.

Viewers will see a collection of author’s theatrical puppets - a kind of “golden pantries”, which in St. Petersburg is called the “big troupe of a small theater”. Among them are the popular European characters Max and Moritz (1925), characters in the novel by Nikolai Gogol “How Ivan Ivanovich quarreled with Ivan Nikiforovich” (1929), dolls by the artist Ivan Pavlovich for the play “The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights” (1937).), characters of the pop number of Evgeny Demmen “Anna and Vronsky” (1938), “The Mischief Windsor” (1947) by Maria Artyukhova, as well as dolls of the Russian folk tale about Kolobok (2010). A visit to the exhibition involves interactive communication between spectators and professional puppeteers.
