Exhibition "Moscow municipal heraldry. Coat of arms as an official symbol"

From August 26 to September 12, the Gilyarovsky Center hosts the exhibition “Moscow Municipal Heraldry. Coat of arms as an official symbol ”. Its main exhibits are the coats of arms of Moscow municipalities.

At the exhibition at the Gilyarovsky Center, the coat of arms is presented both as a work of art and as a result of precise legislative formulations. Several dozen coats of arms of municipal districts add up to a coherent picture of a unified state heraldic policy pursued by the Heraldic Council of the city of Moscow. When you get acquainted with the exhibits of the exhibition, it becomes clear that the coat of arms as an official symbol is not only a designation of the vertical of power or a territorial component, but also an important tool for the preservation and revival of cultural traditions.

The exhibition is timed to celebrate the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation.
