The exhibition "NAME: Andra / Andronic Abovyants /" is a project-opening, the first personal exhibition of the artist and designer, whose work has already attracted the attention of art lovers from around the world.

The exhibition project of Andronic Abovyants is an attempt to convey the world of the artist’s moments of life, relationships, situations through vivid color combinations and light contrasts. The colors of the dusty heat, red and blue in all their shades will fill the space and plunge the visitors of the exhibition into the contradictory Universe of the artist, combining traditional and provocative images.

All the works presented at the exhibition are high-quality prints on canvas and wood. Andronic also will present a series of silk scarves made in Italy on the basis of his design, with thematic prints that reveal yet another facet of the artist - his passion for oriental philosophy and esoteric practices.

According to the artist himself, “the genetic inheritance dictates to me to find and isolate beauty, whatever it may be, in all its manifestations. In surrounding people, places, events. And fix it in the picture. The manner of transmission in a primitive, unfinished style has developed due to my laziness and "unkempt" character. I do not like when everything is chin-chin. When the hair is parted clearly in the middle. When shaved so clean that you can "slip" on the cheek. When the picture is harmonious and clear, when everything is smooth and beautiful - I feel bad. My drawings are ironic and sentimental. These are my character traits and way of working: to do and be sad.

My drawings about buzz - this is the main thing. The beauty of a woman for a man is high, a slightly drunken consciousness is high. Joking over public morality or “restraint” is a thrill. Pin up a stereotype - buzz. Draw in Photoshop, so everyone thinks that this painting is high. Drawings are born in series. In cycles. They live all together. Complement each other. And milk yield go to the "shares" also together. "

About the artist:

Andronic Abovyants was born in Samarkand into a family of artists, sculptors and restaurateurs. Grandfather, uncle, as well as cousins of Andronik are artists and architects. The ancient culture, the cosmopolitan spirit of the city, the riot of its bright colors and, undoubtedly, the creative atmosphere of the artist’s family influenced the choice of themes for his work and artistic vision.

After many years of successful work as a designer and the creation of his own brand of exclusive silk scarves with prints developed by the artist himself, Andronic returned to oil painting and created a series of works inspired by the national cultures of the past and the contemporary environment of the artist.
