Exhibition "New Codes of Art. Media Art from the Rodchenko School".

On September 9, within the framework of the special program of the 6th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art “Electromuseum in Rostokino” of the Association “Exhibition Halls of Moscow”, the exhibition “New Art Codes. Media art from the Rodchenko School. "

Exhibitors will try to answer the questions: what is the meaning of contemporary art and what the younger generation of artists is putting into it. For the exhibition, curators of the Electromuseum Alexey Shulgin and Aristarkh Chernyshev selected the most relevant works of students and graduates of the School named after Rodchenko - the main Russian school of media art. Among the participants: the famous media artist Mikhail Maximov, prize winner of the Kandinsky Prize 2014 Albert Soldatov and winner of World Press Photo 2014 Nikita Shokhov.

At the exhibition, viewers will be able to watch videos with their eyes closed, observe the symbiosis of nature and technology, find out how a person who destroys a work of art feels, can connect to an artistic Wi-Fi network and watch how cabbage trades stocks on the stock exchange. In total, more than 20 projects will be presented.

At the Moscow Museum of Sound Art, which works at the Electromuseum, it will be possible to listen to experimental sound works by such sound artists and media artists as Tasha Abramova, Vadim Kolosov and Andrei Guryanov.

On the opening day, guests will find an improvisation set from the Ensemble of Children’s Musical Instruments and a performance by Solder.
