Exhibition. Nurmukhametov Raul Valeevich. On the occasion of the 95th birthday

Nurmukhametov Raul Valeevich - Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan. Born in 1922 in the city of Troitsk, Chelyabinsk region. He graduated from the Kazan art school. He was an active participant in public and creative life of the Union of Artists of the TASSR.

In his works, Nurmukhametov R.V. captured the characteristic episodes of the labor, everyday and festive life of Tatarstan and neighboring regions. He created a number of compositions for decorating public interiors (fabulous themes in the lobby of the Palace of Culture of Chemists, etc.). However, the main theme of his work is landscape painting, which simultaneously combines the traditions of both the lyrical, chamber, and industrial landscape.

R.V. Nurmukhametov praised the beauty of quiet courtyards, parks, and the environs of Kazan. He painted river landscapes with great love, in which he conveyed the state of calm water surface (“Evening on the Kama”, “Kazanka Embankment”), the Volga marina, equipped with powerful equipment (“Port”).

The exhibition, which presents 29 paintings from the funds of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, runs through August 6, 2017.
