In the winter garden "Manor V.P. Sukacheva "September 11 opens a new exhibition" Danger to life. " Young visitors and their parents will be able to see predator plants, which at all times not only delighted naturalists, but also served as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the creators of chilling tales. These plants belong to different families and to different climatic zones - from the arctic tundra to the equatorial jungle. But they have one thing in common - they are all insectivorous predators whose main business is hunting. And even though by our standards the prey is small and the hunting process itself is soundless, in these dramatic battles of the plant and the animal the attentive observer reveals the great law of the eternal movement of nature - the struggle for survival. At our exhibition, there are insectivorous plants: Nepentes and Venus flytrap.

In addition, during the exhibition, visitors will learn that ficus, dieffenbachia, oleander, and other well-known plants can be dangerous. The juice of some of them can cause skin irritation, and flowering can cause allergies.

This is not the first thematic exhibition in the winter garden "Manors V.P. Sukachev. " Biblical plants, cacti, and succulents were previously demonstrated. A rich “green” collection, assembled in the conservatory, which is also actively replenished, allows you to create expositions. The exhibition "Danger to Life" will run only three weeks - until October 4.
