Exhibition of St. Petersburg artists "Coast, which is not there" in the "ARTMUSE" Automatic translate
“The Shore That Doesn’t” is a collective exhibition of Petersburg artists (painting, graphics).
The shore is the goal. Ideal. This is what the crew is striving for from the storms and hardships of a long voyage, from the fight against the elements and bad weather. No matter how the ship was thrown by the waves beyond the control of the captain, no matter how torn the sails of the hurricanes - sailing would not make sense, if there hadn’t been at the end of an adventurous eldorado or a quiet harbor - it is tempting to anyone.
Elena Alferova. The little Prince
The shore is the completion of paths, a place where they are always waiting, a point where hopes are concentrated, where dreams come true. Perfection is unattainable, and always everything happens a little wrong. Only distant outlines can be foreseen.
But, going out to sea, the crew of the ship will inevitably believe in the Shore, even if it is not there. Because otherwise the path does not make sense.
Irina Kaspersky. Our shadows in the sand
The story we want to tell is about the unattainability of the ideal and its necessity.
About the place where dreams and hopes that have come true live, about why paths are accomplished and where the quest ends. Does it exist in reality? What it is like to find your Beach, and what price you can pay for it. And is there that Beach that suits everyone and everyone…
Margarita Felis. The end of the world
Each artist sees this in his own way, each approach to the topic is individual. All authors are very different, as are their genres and techniques, all narrate in their own languages, using linguems of images and morphemes of color combinations.
We hope that at the exhibition the audience will be able to find something that will be in tune with him, that will respond with sudden warmth - like a gust of fresh wind suddenly flying into the stone geometry of St. Petersburg with the exciting smell of grass on unknown shores.
